Today is the big wrap-up for our virtual bookclub for A Play of Heresy. In a couple of hours I’ll be posting the Author’s Note from the book here on the website. (Be warned! There are spoilers in there!) Meanwhile, vigorous discussions continue on Facebook — and will probably continue into the New Year — and I also recommend following my Twitter account.
In a few days I’m also planning to post a reading guide for you to use with your local bookclubs. Until them, I’d like to wish you all a Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed the latest tale of Joliffe.

I want to thank you for this new book. Not only is it up to your usual standard, but it gives me a lot of information on what may well have been the turmoil of some of my ancestors who left England (Leicester) as Anabaptists to sail to the new colonies – and landed right in a bed of Puritans! Thankfully, they left and resettled in New Amsterdam; otherwise I am sure Mary Tilton would have been pressed as a witch. I think they would have been Lollards first, then Anabaptists, then Quakers. You have filled in a big blank in my understanding of their lifes and thoughts during that time. Also ~ I once played Eve in the Coventry ‘Creation of Man’ play!
