A PLAY OF TREACHERY

(AND OTHER NEWS)

A Play of Treachery has arrived!!! The fifth in the series has Joliffe away, at Bishop Beaufort’s behest, to France and into the (not-yet-Hundred Years) War there.

I'll appearing on December 12th at Once Upon a Crime Mystery Bookstore in Minneapolis, MN to promote the book. I’ll be doing my author-thing – signing books and happily talking with everyone who comes.

Equally if you’re in the Minneapolis area this coming Wednesday, December 9, you can see me doing my actor-thing in a production of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus with the American Shakespeare Repertory. The company’s current project is to do public readings (with performance) of all of William Shakespeare’s works over the next two years, and I am going back to my theatrical roots and appearing in several of this season’s productions. You’ve already missed me as as a Witch and a Murderer in Macbeth (I don’t want to hear any mutters about type-casting, all right?), but next I’ll be playing Coriolanus’ manipulative mother (I mean it – no mutters of “type-casting”), and Margaret of Anjou in Richard III in the New Year. (I’m distinctly hearing muttering here.) You can find the schedule and directions and general information on the American Shakespeare Repertory website. And, hey! all tickets are “pay what you can”, so this is a great way to “brush up your Shakespeare”. Of course you run the risk I now have of talking “funny” after a few hours of blank versing but what I’ve seen of the productions so far are well worth it.

MASTER CHRONOLOGY UPDATED

The Master Chronology, showing the internal chronology of the Frevisse and Joliffe novels, has been updated. Special thanks to  reader Pat Fadio, who pointed out that The Boy's Tale had been left off the original list. Problem solved. Thanks, Pat!
